How do we do it?
Do you receive government aid? Who manages Mountain Mission School? What kind of leadership do you have? How are children placed at MMS?
|
Your help is essential in providing this opportunity. Operations Is there A Charge For The Children's Care? None is demanded or expected as this is a charity. If the legal guardian is able, Mountain Mission School encourages this person to contribute such funds as he is able to help defray the expense of caring for his charge. As small as these amounts normally are, seeking to help one’s own family has scriptural basis. Further, such gestures, upon the part of the family, helps the child to have a more positive outlook toward his/her living. Does Mountain Mission School Receive Any Federal or State Financial Aid? No. Since Mountain Mission School operates
as an independent home and since the school wishes to retain total freedom
of decision and movement in seeking to serve a child’s need The program and work depends entirely upon gifts from individuals, businesses, and churches (primarily Churches of Christ and Christian Churches). Mountain Mission School has no professional or salaried solicitors. All contributions are made directly to Mountain Mission School and are used to help provide care and nurture for Mountain Mission School’s children. Some persons donate good usable clothing which the children may use. Others give funds especially earmarked to purchase new clothing for the children. Other persons donate food items which help to feed the children. Still other people participate in special projects that provide all sorts of materials and advantages for the children.
